Rediscovery of an indigenous grape variety
Ciliegiolo is an indigenous Tuscan grape variety, usually blended with other grapes, which we have chosen instead to vinify in purity. Our approach to a wine so characteristic of the terroir was to let the grapes speak for themselves, trying to bring back to the bottle the same freshness and complexity that comes from this vine, its soil and the saline air that pervades it. Spontaneous fermentation and ageing in steel and cement.
The result is a product with an intense red colour with violet hues, the scent of berries stands out on the nose, while on the palate the balance between acidity and red fruits, together with the extremely delicate tannin, leaves room for the unmistakable scent of cherries that pervades the palate.
Serving temperature: 14-16°.
